Our History

Over the span of nearly 20 years, DCR has witnessed many changes. One thing that has not changed is our passion for technology and partnering with businesses to help them grow.

In 1986, the personal computer was still a new concept and business owners were not sure how this new tool could benefit them. In 1990, the novel idea of connecting personal computers into networks was born and in 1998 the Internet and email had yet to become standards for communication. It is during this progression of time that our founder, Denase Harris, developed her love for computer networking and a vision that this technology could allow work to be an activity, rather than just a location.

In August 1998, Denase assembled a small, talented team who shared her passion for technology, and with the support of her husband and family, Diversified Computer Resources opened for business. Founded on the belief that small businesses deserve the same technical expertise available to enterprise level companies, DCR was built by delivering those IT solutions in a professional and ethical manner.

Over the span of nearly 20 years, DCR has witnessed many changes. Computers are on every desk and fit in the palm of our hand, the Internet is a staple of every business and many times email is more important than phone systems. Clients have retired and a new generation is now running some of those companies. Some employees have moved on in their careers and new faces have joined the team. One thing that has not changed is our passion for technology and partnering with businesses to help them grow.
